DESCRIPTION:
England, unsigned, 8 day, time and strike, spring fusee movement mahogany bracket with brass inlay, side grills, feet and side handles, c1890.
CONDITION:
Mahogany veneered case in an old and possibly original finish. Case has an expansion crack on the right side and on the top along with a repair. Both sides have some veneer damage in the area of the brass grills. The seat the supports the movement looks to be of a later make. Original painted dial has a couple paint flecks and poor repairs to the chapter ring some of the numbers. The bell may be replaced as one usually finds a polished bell in these clocks.
